Primary maths
Times tables, place value and the mental arithmetic that everything later leans on. Most primary work is about getting a child to stop bracing before a number question.
P1 to P7Educamus Tuition · Glasgow
Educamus is a private maths tutor Glasgow families use from Primary right through to Advanced Higher. One tutor, the same face every week, either at your kitchen table or online. Start with a free call and we come back to you inside 24 hours.
One to one, never a group
An hour a week, with one tutor who stays with your child for the whole course. That tutor works out where the marks are actually going: a shaky bit of algebra from S2, a topic that was missed during a run of absences, or exam technique that falls apart under time pressure.
Educamus does the matching before anyone teaches anything. A course consultant asks about the level, the school, what your child is finding hard and how they like to work, then puts them with a tutor who suits all four. Get the pairing wrong and the next session is free with someone else.
Sessions run at your home in Glasgow or through the online classroom, and whichever you pick your child sees the same face each week, with progress reports coming to you as the course goes on rather than a report card in June telling you something you could have fixed in November.
Primary counting through to Advanced Higher calculus, plus the qualifications Glasgow pupils sit alongside them.
Times tables, place value and the mental arithmetic that everything later leans on. Most primary work is about getting a child to stop bracing before a number question.
P1 to P7Where a lot of Glasgow pupils first hit a wall. Quadratics, trigonometry and the reasoning questions at the end of Paper 2 are the three that swallow the most marks.
S4, also National 4The jump from National 5 catches out even strong pupils, because the pace roughly doubles and almost nothing gets revisited. Differentiation, integration and the vectors unit take up most of our Higher hours.
S5 and S6Matrices, complex numbers and proof, taught online so your child gets the specialist rather than whoever is free nearby. Brodie came to Educamus with an A at Higher and left Advanced Higher with another one.
Online onlyMoney, statistics, measurement and the real world questions this course is built on. It rewards a different skill from the Maths course, so it gets taught differently.
National 4 and 5Glasgow families sitting English board exams are covered too, along with college and university maths. All of it runs through the online classroom.
Online onlyFour real Educamus students. Every starting point is different, so read these as examples rather than a promise.

Couldn’t recommend these guys enough. Proof is in the pudding though and it’s really shown her potential getting an A for her Math prelim, when her aim was initially to just get a pass.
My S2 son has been having weekly online Maths tuition with Ryder for a few months now. In his latest Maths test since the tuition he scored 82% which has given him a much needed boost. Ryder has been superb at building his ability and confidence!
Highly recommend educamus tuition, Elise is amazing. Elise set and marked homework / past papers. This gave Abby the confidence for the exams, and Abby reached her potential.
Megan tutored Mia and helped her a great deal. Mia was absolutely delighted with her result. She never thought she would have got a B. Huge thanks again to Megan.
Adam was a fantastic tutor for both maths and physics. His calm, reassuring manner settled any nerves and he happily kept going over topics until my son thoroughly understood them.

Where the tutors travel

Where nobody local is free, the online classroom covers every postcode in Scotland.

Younger pupils, and anyone who works better with a person sitting beside them, usually do best at home. Online tends to win at Higher and Advanced Higher, because it opens up the whole Educamus tutor network rather than only the tutors free in your part of Glasgow that evening.
Advanced Higher, GCSE and A Level are online only. Your consultant will talk this through before you book anything.
Within 24 hours. A course consultant calls to go through your child’s level, where the marks are being lost and how they learn, then matches them with a tutor.
The consultation is free and there is nothing to pay until you book a session.
Educamus recommends at least one hour a week, and sessions are an hour long. Weekly is what turns a shaky topic into a secure one before the next one lands on top of it.
Some families add a second hour in the run up to prelims and then drop back.
Yes. Plenty of Educamus students are chasing an A rather than a pass, or are stepping up from Higher to Advanced Higher Maths.
